A Guide to UK departure airports

Bangkok flights from the UK depart mainly out of London Heathrow, the country's busiest airport, where over a hundred different airlines fly from, carrying an amazing sixty-seven million passengers to destinations around the world annually.

Considering the airlines that have been identified as offering the best fares, there are few options for flights from the regional airports apart from Lufthansa, who will offer a routing from a number of airports outside London that will go to Munich before flying on to Bangkok. The other airlines are London departures only, mainly due to them having little presence in the European market so London Heathrow is the natural, and most cost-effective, airport to operate from.

If a regional airport departure is a must then there are a couple of options available. The first is to use one of the internal UK carriers, perhaps a budget airline or someone like British Airways who provide shuttle services to London from around the country. Passengers could then join up with their chosen airline at Heathrow and fly on from there, though having to check in again at London since the shuttle flight is not linked to the international one.

Option two would involve checking one of the other airlines, perhaps costing a little more than those shown here but able to offer a full route that starts from the airport of your choice. As an example British Airways could fly from most airports, linking via Heathrow again but this time all the paperwork is linked, since it is all one booking.

As always there are mnay different choices to consider, and it is down to the individual to decide what is the best one for them.
